CHANDIGARH, Punjab—On the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8, parliamentarian Preneet Kaur paid obeisance at historic Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib, Pakistan along with more than hundred women through Dera Baba Nanak Corridor.
Preneet Kaur was given a warm welcome by Amritsar parliamentarian Gurjit Singh Aujla, Cabinet Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and Cabinet Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa on her arrival at Dera Baba Nanak.
Interacting with media, Preneet Kaur said that Guru Nanak Sahib gave a great status to women in the society which resulted in their empowerment and high respect.
“That’s why I chose this day to pay obeisance at Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib,” she said while expressing joy over opening of the Kartarpur Corridor and thanking the Guru Sahib for making the opening of the corridor a success.
O.S.D. Amritpal Singh Honey Sekhon, Janab Mohammad Isfaaq, Chairman Dr. Satnam Singh Nijjar, Opinderjit Singh Ghumman, SSP Batala, S.D.M. Dera Baba Nanak Gursimran Singh Dhillon etc. were present at this occasion.
