TARN TARAN, Punjab—Last night, several armed robbers looted around INR 15 million from the Tarn Taran based Kaar Sewa sect headed by Baba Jagtar Singh. The incident occurred at around 11:30 pm last night.
It is learnt that around three armed men entered into Kaar Sewa seminary’s premises in the midnight hours and forced the watchman to help them in calling cashier Mohinder Singh. As soon as cashier Mohinder Singh opened the door, the robbers immediately attacked him and detained him in bathroom and forced him to help in opening door of cash room.
The whole robbery got recorded in CCTV cameras installed there. The robbers could be seen packing large currency notes in bags and leaving behind the currency notes of low value.
Cashier Mohinder Singh was admitted to the hospital immediately after the robbery.
Meanwhile, the district police are investigating the robbery.
