Sidhu Moosewala and Mankirt Aulakh booked for propagating violence

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Controversial Punjabi singers Sidhu Moosewala and Mankirt Aulakh have been booked by the Punjab police for propagating violence by posting a video on social media. It is learnt that the duo singers have been booked under sections 294 (sings, recites or utters any obscene song), 504(intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and 149 (unlawful assembly) of the Indian Penal Code by the Mansa police.

Confirming the development, Mansa SSP Narender Bhargav informed that Sidhu Moosewala and Mankirt Aulakh had shared a violence propagating song having lines “Pakhia pakhia pakhia, gun wich panj golia tere panj veera layi rakhian” on YouTube, Tik Tok,  Facebook, and some other social media sites. “This song was recorded Moosewala’s house at village Mussa in Mansa district,” he added.
