Google starts showing Mangu Math Gurdwara permanently closed

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Merely three weeks after the demolition of historic Mangu Math in Jagannath Puri of Orissa, the Google maps have started showing Gurdwara Mangu Math as permanently closed. It is unclear that how come Google know about the demolition historic Mangu Math within such a short period of time.

It is being suspected that anti-Sikhism elements, who are cheering over demolition of this historic Sikh symbol, could be behind it as Google doesn’t start showing any premises as “permanently closed” within such a short period of time until unless someone doesn’t mark the destination as permanently closed.

“I reckon it must be the Indian administration, who would have requested Google to update this information on their Google map. Otherwise, how Google would know about it,” said one of our followers.

It is pertinent to note here that the Orissa government had demolished the historic Mangu Math last month despite giving repeated assurances to Sikhs. The Mangu Math has been demolished to develop a heritage corridor around the 12th century shrine in the seaside pilgrim town.

Mangu Math is the place in Jagannath Puri (Orissa), where Guru Nanak Sahib had uttered the Aarti.
