Tender an apology or get ready to face criminal charges, Taksal says in legal notice to Dhadrianwala

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The Damdami Taksal’s spokesperson Prof. Sarchand Singh has served a legal notice to the controversial Sikh preacher Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwala seeking an unconditional apology for using derogatory remarks against the Akal Takht Jathedar. This legal notice has also been served to Dhadrianwala’s YouTube channels Emm Pee and Parmeshwar TV.

Prof. Sarchand Singh has served this legal notice via Advocate Bhagwant Singh Sialka and Dhadrianwala has been asked to get ready to face criminal charges if he doesn’t tender an apology within 15 days.

Sharing the development with media, Prof. Sarchand Singh said that Dhadrianwala has been hurting Sikh sentiments from a long time with his discourse which misinterprets the Sikh principals, traditions and history. “On December 7, Dhadrianwala committed a crime by using defamatory language against the Akal Takht Jathedar and raising questions over the system electing Akal Takht Jathedar, which is a punishable offence under sections 153-A, 294-A, 499 and 501 (B) of IPC,” he added.
