GNDU students stage protest against CAA; Slams Indian government for committing atrocities on students in Delhi

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—The students of Guru Nanak Dev University (Amritsar) today staged a protest against the police brutalities on the students of Jamia Millia Islamia and Aligarh Muslim University. The protesting students also stood up at the back of stand taken by the victim students of Jamia Millia Islamia and Aligarh Muslim University.

Terming the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) as a divisive and dangerous for the society, the students said that they reject the amendments made into the Citizenship law and will also oppose the proposed imposition of NRC all over India.

SYP president Paramjit Singh Mand, Research Scholar Association (GNDU) leader Jatinderbir Singh, Students for Society’s leader Shubhkaramdeep Singh, Punjab Students Union leader Hardeep Kotla, Mool Niwasi Students Organization leader Advocate Ankush and Phule Ambedkar Association took on BJP for its radical policies and permitting the Delhi police to commit atrocities on protesting students.
