Punjab government deploys 1500 buses to offer statewide free bus service to Sultanpur Lodhi

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—On the eve of the 550th birthday of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the state government of Punjab has launched a statewide free bus service for the devotees aspirant of paying obeisance at Gurdwara Sri Ber Sahib in Sultanpur Lodhi.

Sharing the development with media, Punjab’s Tourism and Cultural Minister Charanjit Singh Channi informed that 1500 buses of Transport Department have been deployed to commute devotees from their localities to Sultanpur Lodhi. “These buses will commute devotees for 8 days, i.e. from November 5 to November 12,” he added.

Channi further informed that the whole detailed schedule of these buses has been sent to the statewide Deputy Commissioners and Sub-Divisional Magistrates. He added that the schedule of buses of has been made keeping in view the villages and towns of every assembly constituency.

“A toll free number 1800-180-0550 has also been launched for the facility of devotees,” said Channi.
