Controversial TV serial “Ram-Siya Ke Luv Kush” banned in Punjab following protests

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Following complete shutdown and protests in Punjab on September 7, the Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh has directed the Deputy Commissioners of all districts to ban telecast of TV serial “Ram-Siya Ke Luv Kush”. Notably, the Vaalmiki community had given a call for Punjab shut down on September 7 in protest of projection of Bhagwan Vaalmik in poor light in this serial.  

Beside it, the Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh has also written a letter to the Indian government to ban telecast of this controversial TV serial over DTH.

It is learnt that all the Deputy Commissioners of Punjab have also issued the notification to cable operators to ban telecast of TV serial “Ram Siya Ke Love Kush” with immediate effect.
