USA deports around two dozen Punjabi youths everyday

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Emerging reports reveal that around two dozen Punjabi youths are being deported by the USA authorities every day. Some of the deported youths are those who got arrested within hours of their entry into the United States of America and failed in filing cases for political asylum.

MLA Navtej Cheema, who heads the Sultanpur Lodhi assembly constituency, informed that he heard of eight or nine deportation cases in his area in the past week. “I am sure there will be more as people keep such information under wraps,” he apprehended.

Sultanpur Lodhi resident Gurmeet Singh, who owns land in Mand area, informed that he had sent his 20 year old son to USA in April this year for which he paid Rupees 2.7 million to an agent by selling two acres land. “Now my son has been deported back this week from Texas (USA). I don’t know how I will settle my son again,” he added.

Gurmeet Singh further informed that five youths from Sultanpur Lodhi who had gone with him also met the same fate. “When Delhi airport authorities were completing the legal formalities, my son came to know that there were 20 Punjabi youths, including 2 girls, in the same plane, who too had been deported,” he added.

“There were 900 Indians in the migrant camp. Nearly 20 youths are being deported from the US almost daily,” informed Gurmeet Singh’s deported son.

Another victim, who is a government employee in Sultanpur Lodhi, informed that his nephew was deported back from USA two weeks ago. “We had paid Rupees 3 million to an agent after borrowing the amount from friends and family to send my fatherless nephew to the USA but all our efforts went in vain as he is back with us again,” he added.
