HOSHIARPUR, Punjab—To commemorate the 317th anniversary of the Khalsa Sajna Divas, the Sikh Youth of Punjab (SYP) resolved to organize a seminar on Sikh Nationalism on April 17 at Anandpur Sahib, focusing on cultural and identity issues. The SYP is the youth wing of the Dal Khalsa.
The president and vice-president of the youth group, Paramjit Singh and Gurpreet Singh, informed the media that the function would be dedicated to martyrs of faith who laid down their lives to uphold the sanctity and respect of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in the recent past.
They said the speakers will discuss building character and instilling a spirit that reflects Sikhi among the youth. They will also speak about the unique aspects of culture and language that make up the distinct identity of the Sikhs.
Paramjit Singh and Gurpreet Singh said that in this climate heavy with intolerance and fear, the “nationalism” created by Hindutva forces was being imposed on people with distinct identities and Dalits. They said the aim of organizing the seminar was to awaken the youth to face these challenges and enlighten them about our distinct identity and our glorious sovereign past.

1) “SPACE STATION PUNJAB”
2) “MARTIAN PUNJAB”
3) “GALACTIC PUNJAB”
4) “PARALLELL UNIVERSE PUNJAB”
They need to think BIG ,BOLD and be FUTURISTIC.
Past may teach lessons and nothing more than that. Don’t live in past or yearn to go back to past .
So you want them to hold their Sikh seminar anywhere including the far recesses of cold uninhabitable and inaccessible space so long as it is well away from the Sikh homeland of Punjab. Why don’t you show us the way by being the first to go there. You be big, be bold and futuristic. These are all the lessons of Sikhs glorious past which we now hand on to you and your Hinduvta chums to emulate. We will stay here and tend to our Punjab and spaceship Earth.
