Khalra Mission holds Congress, Akali Dal and BJP responsible for false encounters

india-flagTARN TARAN—In a press release, the leaders of Khalra Mission stated that they support the verdict of the CBI court of Lucknow, which held that 47 policemen were guilty of killing ten Sikh youth in false encounters.  These policemen were found guilty by an Uttar Pradesh court this past week.

Khalsa Mission stated that the families of the martyred youth incurred immeasurable losses but the verdict of CBI Court, represented by Justice Lallu Singh, is like a legal stamp on the massacre of thousands of Sikh youth in Punjab and India.

The Khalra Mission has claimed that Congress, Akali Dal and BJP were equally guilty for the false encounters in which thousands of Sikhs were massacred. Bibi Paramjit Kaur Khalra claimed that Badal went to secret meetings with Ex-DGP KPS Gill. Even though he had promised to punish the police officers responsible for fake encounters in his election manifesto of 1997, he appointed those very same police officers, including Sumedh Saini, Izhar Alam, and Parmraj Singh Umranangal, to respectable posts. Paramjit Kaur Khalra also said that the commission appointed to investigate the false encounters under the leadership of Justice Kuldeep Singh was also abolished by Badal.

The Khalra mission leaders pointed out that it was strange that the Badal-led Punjab government couldn’t find even a single officer responsible for the murders of innocent Sikh youth across Punjab.

  1. What a farce of this country, perpetrators of crimes are not held accountable.Politicians encourage agitations and when peaceful agitators are killed the same politicians get away from the scene. They just close the files.Parkash Badal & his Akali Dal is the one party who let down the Sikhs innumerable times.God is the witness ‘He shall call for their answer’.
