414th Gurtagaddi Diwas celebrated with full religious fervor

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—On May 15, the 414th Gurtagaddi Diwas of sixth Sikh Master Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji was celebrated with full religious fervor and devotion at Sri Darbar Sahib and Sri Akal Takht Sahib. Special religious events were held inside sanctum sanctorum of Sri Darbar Sahib as well as Sri Akal Takht Sahib.

At Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Gurbani Kirtan was performed following the culmination of Sri Akhand Path Sahib. Later, Ardas was performed for the high morale of the Sikh community.

A special manifestation of religious artifacts was held inside Sri Darbar Sahib, Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Gurdwara Baba Atal Rai Ji from 9 am to 12 pm. The Sikh sangat expressed delightedness by lighting dimwits with Desi Ghee.

SGPC appointed officiating Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh, SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal and SGPC’s chief secretary Dr. Roop Singh congratulated Sikh sangat on this occasion.
