With the inspiration of UK parliamentarian Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi, Canada residents Gyan Singh, Hardeep Singh, Satwant Singh, Pardeep Singh, and Sukhjeevan Singh have sent 12 ventilators to the apex Sikh body Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee for intensifying its efforts in battling against the Covid-19 pandemic.

SGPC president Bibi Jagir Kaur today received these ventilators offered by the Canadian Sikhs amid other eminent SGPC personalities.

Speaking on this occasion, Bibi Jagir Kaur said that the SGPC has always been committed to serving humanity as per the path enlightened by our great Guru Sahibans. “At present, the SGPC is organizing free vaccination camps for vaccinating common masses. The first vaccination camp was organized at Sri Darbar Sahib (Amritsar), the second vaccination camp was organized at Takht Sri Damdama Sahib (Talwandi Sabo) on June 4, and the third one will be organized at Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib on June 9,” she informed.

Bibi Jagir Kaur highly hailed and thanked the Canadian Sikhs for taking this initiative of offering ventilators as a lot of Covid-19 patients need ventilators to survive.

She further informed that SGPC member Ajmer Singh Khera’s son is also going to offer one ventilator.

Meanwhile, it is learned that all these ventilators have been handed over to the SGPC run Sri Guru Ram Dass Medical College.
