The Volant Charitable Trust, founded by J.K. Rowling, has donated a hefty sum towards Khalsa Aid’s Covid-19 relief work in India. Khalsa Aid shared this update earlier today on Twitter, saying that it had received a six-figure grant from The Volant Charitable Trust.
Either organisation has not yet disclosed the exact amount. However, this grant has provided as part of The Volant Charitable Trust’s Covid-19 Response Fund, which has provided funds in seven figures to international charities such as the British Red Cross, the Disasters Emergency Committee, United Way and Operation USA in helping the short-term impact on the frontline of this pandemic.
Khalsa Aid is one of the leading organisations providing Covid-19 related relief in India, one of the countries hit the hardest in the recent months during the pandemic. Khalsa Aid has received international applause for its tireless efforts in providing relief essentials to those in dire need.
Once again, a huge thank you to everyone who bought a copy of The Ickabog. As a result, my charitable trust continues to be able to support those worst affected by the pandemic #COVIDIndia https://t.co/UZTEiqMfDZ
