Guru Tegh Bahadar Sahib 400 bed Covid-19 Care Centre is now fully operational in Delhi

The 400 bed, Covid-19 Care Centre, established at Lakhi Shah Wanjara Hall of Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib, has got operational today. A formal prayer offering ceremony was held to kickstart this Covid Care Centre in which Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain also participated.

Speaking on this occasion, Satyendar Jain thanked the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee for offering this air-conditioned infrastructure to help the Covid-19 victims in this tough time. He appealed to the common masses to get admitted to this Covid Care Centre without any hesitation.

While entire India is facing an oxygen shortage, the oxygen facility has been provided with each of these 400 beds to ensure speedy recovery of Covid-19 victims.

The DSGMC has also made special arrangements for commuting patients with serious symptoms to specialized hospitals by converting its school buses to ambulances.

Interacting with media, DSGMC president Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that this Covid Care Centre had been erected within 10 days only. “We have installed oxygen concentrators with each of the 400 beds in this care centre so that the patients could get uninterrupted oxygen supply,” he added.
