NEW DELHI, India—Due to the ongoing surge in Covid-19 cases in Delhi, the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Anil Baijal has suspended the DSGMC polls till further instructions. A few days back, the AAP-led Delhi government had sought LG’s nod in this regard while sending a file.
Although the Delhi government had imposed a complete ban on the election campaign but the candidates were entangled in a dilemma due to ambiguous circumstances. However, the candidates are now feeling a sense of relief as they can now pause their election campaigns for some time.
