JAMMU & KASHMIR—The Delhi police had arrested Jammu-based 23-year-old farmer Mandeep Singh during the intervening night of February 22 and 23. After calling him at Gandhi Nagar police station via Jammu SSP, he was taken into custody by the Delhi police.
Police took him to Delhi without informing his family members. The Delhi police imposed various severe charges on him while indicting him in FIR about January 26’s incident at Red Fort.
On Sikh24’s behalf, Sikh activist Bhai Papalpreet Singh has approached Mandeep Singh’s mother, Bibi Gurmeet Kaur, to bring the ground reality afore.
In this interview, Bibi Gurmeet Kaur has made several revelations while maintaining that her son did nothing wrong by getting his photo clicked with Nishan Sahib.
She has also spoken about the role of the DSGMC president Manjinder Singh Sirsa for the release of arrested farmers.
This is no reason to arrest him.
