Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s niece visits Gazipur border to show solidarity with protesting farmers

NEW DELHI, India—Bibi Gurjeet Kaur Dhatt, niece of Indian freedom fighter Shaheed Bhagat Singh, today paid a Gazipur border to depict solidarity with the farmers protesting against three unconstitutional farm laws introduced by the BJP led Indian government. Bibi Gurjeet Kaur Dhatt is the daughter of Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s sister Bibi Parkash Kaur.

Bibi Gurjeet Kaur Dhatt’s visit to the protesting farmers’ site at the Gazipur border has given a major blow to India’s “anti-national” narrative to vilify protesting farmers.

On this occasion, the farmer leaders at the Gazipur protest site honored Bibi Gurjeet Kaur Dhatt.

At present, the ruling section of India has deployed all its resources to vilify protesting farmers by dubbing them as “Khalistanis”, “Maoists”, “Naxalists”, “ISI Backed”, “China Backed”, “anti-nationals”, etc. Still, Gurjeet Kaur Dhatt’s visit to the Gazipur border has definitely exposed India’s fascist ruling section’s self-styled patriotism.

It is pertinent to note here that the protesting farmers’ site at Gazipur has emerged as the central site after January 26. Rakesh Tikait’s firm stand against the Indian government’s tactics has helped him emerge as a leading personality of this struggle.

The Punjab-based farmer leaders having left-leaning, lost their position to Rakesh Tikait for showing a weak attitude against the Indian government’s tactics after January 26.
