Dal Khalsa takes jibe at PM Modi After Ganga Comment

NEW DELHI, India—Taking a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement that his government’s intentions are as pure as Ganga, the Dal Khalsa said contrary to it, Ganga is highly polluted and so are Modi’s intentions.

Dal Khalsa spokesman Kanwar Pal Singh said the irony of the situation is that only Modi and his ministers know that the three contentious agriculture laws were “beneficial” for farmers. As far as farmers are concerned they consider the laws detrimental for farming and farmers, he said.

He asked the farmers to be wary of the cunning and deceitful character of the RSS/BJP. He termed the Modi Govt as Govt by the corporate, of the corporate, and for the corporate.

He said despite lacs of farmers supported by Punjabi youth staging a spirited protest on the borders of Delhi, the BJP Govt was ashamedly defending the laws that have potential to ruin the livelihoods and future of farmers. Exposing the government’s double-talk, he said on one hand the Union government has desperately invited farmers for dialogue and on the other, Delhi administration has registered an FIR against the demonstrators.

He said their organization’s cadre has been participating in the protest programme at Delhi borders on the call of thirty farmer organizations. He said the farming community will not relent until the Govt repeals all three bad laws.
