328 Missing Saroops: Sacked SGPC employees approach High Court

:dateline:Three Ex-SGPC employees, who have been dismissed by the SGPC after being held responsible for missing 328 holy saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji by Advocate Ishar Singh led probe committee, have knocked the doors of Punjab & Haryana High Court against SGPCs decision of terminating them. It is learned that the High Court bench has sought a reply from the SGPC while considering it as a party in this case.

Two out of these three Ex-SGPC employees, who have approached the Punjab & Haryana High Court, have been identified as former vice secretary Gurbachan Singh and clerk Baj Singh.

It is learned that the SGPC has taken High Courts notice into cognizance and the executive committee will deliberate upon it in its next meeting.

Earlier, SGPC appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh had made a special direction to the SGPC for deploying competent legal experts to oppose these sacked employees in the Court.

It is pertinent to note here that the SGPC had tried to conclude this issue by highlighting it as an issue of mere monetary corruption while using SGPC employees as scapegoats. It was depicted that these SGPC employees sold holy saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji without making entries in the record books i.e. just for the sake of money.

However, it seems like SGPCs tactic of getting rid of this issue may get failed in the future if it doesnt succeed in convincing these sacked employees.
