SAD (Democratic) to launch recruitment campaign and announce constitution soon

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Veteran Akali leader Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa has disclosed that the constitution of newly floated Shiromani Akali Dal (Democratic) has been drafted and it is ready to be released in coming days. Notably, Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa is currently accepted as a president of Shiromani Akali Dal (Democratic).

Sharing the development with media, SAD (D) president Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa disclosed his party’s constitution has been prepared by a committee comprising of Bir Devinder Singh, Sewa Singh Sekhwan, Justice (Retd.) Nirmal Singh, Nidhark Singh Brar, Shivinder Singh Brar, Tejinderpal Singh Sandhu and others after a thorough deliberation on the constitutions of other political parties.

“We’ll appoint district level committees and start recruitment into the party once the constitution gets implemented,” he said while adding that the circle and district committees will be formed after completing the process of recruitment.

He also disclosed that the delegations elected by the circle and district committees will elect the national committee.

On being questioned about the SGPC elections, Dhindsa said that they have begun preparations for the SGPC elections. “We are also ready to approach other like-minded personalities like Jathedar Ranjit Singh, Ranjit Singh and Ravi Inder Singh so that battle to neutralize Badals’ influence on SGPC elections could be neutralized,” he added.

Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa has also condoled the demise of Bihar based Ram Vilas Paswan.

At the back end, the SAD (Democratic) is supposed to garner support from the saffron BJP to corner Badals from Panthak canvas in Punjab.

After losing ties with SAD (Badal), the BJP has announced to work independently in Punjab and contest election from all the 117 segments in coming assembly polls but if it fails in Punjab then the SAD (Democratic) may emerge as the new ally of BJP in Punjab.
