Delhi based Sikh Blogger Ajmer Singh Randhawa alleges that the Delhi police may arrest him soon

NEW DELHI—As more and more Sikh activists are being booked under India’s UAPA law, another prominent Sikh activist in Delhi has stated that the Delhi police may arrest him at any time. Ajmer Singh Randhawa has said that the Delhi police raided his house earlier today, however, he was not home at the time.

He said that the arrest will be in relation to Amitabh Bachchan’s involvement in 1984 anti-Sikh pogroms. Randhawa has been very vocal against Bachchan and other Indian leaders as their role in the killings of the Sikhs in 1984.

Ajmer Singh is author of multiple blogs online and he is known for his posts against Amitabh Bachchan and other Indian personalities. In recent months, he has raised awareness of issues like Jagtar Singh Johal’s arrest, a Scottish citizen who has been wrongfully detained in India for over 1,000 days.

Yesterday, Ajmer Singh Randhawa shared that Amitabh Bachchan’s comment “THOK DO SAALE KO” was in relation to one of his posts, in which he wished that the Bollywood superstar Bachchan never recovers from COVID-19.

“Amitabh Bachchan is a coward person when he got admitted to hospital showing symptoms of coronavirus to publicize and promote the Nanavati Hospital, to which he is a shareholder, I had sent him bad wishes which I posted earlier on my blog many years ago.

He could never face me on any stage, judiciary (Delhi High Court refused to accept my PIL in 2009) denied to hear me. Now he has come on the lowest level and threatened me an appeal to his followers by these hatred words THOK DO SALE KO.,” Ajmer Singh Randhawa posted yesterday.

In 2014, Randhawa made a series of posts against Amitabh Bachchan. In one of them, he exposed Bachchan for the murders of Sikhs.

Ajmer Singh Randhawa said that Amitabh Bachchan is using his political influence and the police can arrest him under fabricated charges.

“I was not at home [at the time of the raid] but if the police want me to arrest, it may inform my family, I shall surrender in the nearest police station,” he said.
