CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The SGPC appointed officiating Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh has asked the authorities of the Tihar Jail to avail medical treatment to Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara.
Bhai Hawara is incarcerated at Delhi Tihar Jail and has been facing severe medical issues for the past several years.
Sikh24 has learned that Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara has been diagnosed with a problem of cataract in his right eye due to which his vision is falling short day by day. However, the Tihar jail administration is not availing medical treatment to him despite repeated requests.
Bhai Hawara’s legal counsels have approached the Court however no medical assistance has been provided to date.
It is important to mention that Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara has also been facing severe pain in his back, due to his is sometimes unable to stand for too long. Despite the recommendations of doctor’s he has not been provided suitable treatment.
