PSGPC offers financial aid to the victim families of Sheikhupura tragedy

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—On July 11, the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee offered financial aid to the victim families of Sheikhupura Train-Bus tragedy. Notably, 23 Sikhs had lost lives in a deadly accident between their bus and train near Sheikhupura when they were going to pay obeisance at Gurdwara Sacha Sauda Sahib on July 3.

Sharing the development with Sikh24, Babar Jalandhari informed that the families of deceased and injured Sikhs were given checks worth PKR 1,00,000/- and 50,000/- respectively by the PSGPC president Satwant Singh and other office-bearers at Gurdwara Bhai Joga Singh (Peshawar).

He further informed that the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will also offer financial aid worth PKR 5,00,000/- to the families of each deceased Sikh of this tragedy.
