Muslims offer 33-ton of wheat at world�s largest community kitchen Guru Ram Dass Langar

:dateline:A group of Malerkotla based Muslims named �Sikh Muslim Sanjhan� today offered 33-ton (330 quintals) of wheat at the world�s largest community kitchen, Guru Ram Dass Langar. Headed by Dr. Naseer Akhtar, these Muslims devotees also paid obeisance at sanctum sanctorum Sri Harmandir Sahib besides partaking langar.

Interacting with media on this occasion, Dr. Naseer Akhtar said that there has been a robust relationship among the Muslims and Sikhs since the era of Guru Sahibans. A strong relationship between the followers of these two great religions is the need of the hour.

Hailing the great concept of langar, Dr. Naseer Akhtar said that the Muslims of Malerkotla were happy to make a little contribution in the world�s largest community kitchen where free of cost food is served to every human being irrespective of his religion, caste, creed or ethnicity.

Anwar Khan, Shabeer Khan, Mohammad Arfan, Mohammad Liaqat, Mohammad Akhtar, Sadiq Ali, Mohammad Haneef, etc. were also a part of this group of Malerkotla based Muslims.

All of them were honored with the portraits of Sri Harmandir Sahib on this occasion.

It is noteworthy here that more than 1,00,000 devotees partake langar at Guru Ram Dass Langar daily on ordinary days. On Gurpurabs, this count reaches around one million or more.�
