CHANDIGARH, Punjab—An unfortunate incident of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji’s sacrilege has come to fore in village Rampura of district Sangrur. Initial reports reveal that a 12-year-old girl committed this sacrilege.
Interacting with media, granthi Manpreet Singh informed that he noticed sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji when he started reciting Gurbani Patth. “On watching CCTV footage, we found that a 12-year-old girl, who used to come to perform sewa at Gurdwara Sahib, committed this sacrilege,” he added.
Meanwhile, the police have thoroughly started probing this incident besides taking the girl and her family into custody.
SP (D) Harinder Singh and SP (Headquarter) Sharanjit Singh informed that they will interrogate the girl in a psychological way.
