CHANDIGARH, Punjab—A Granthi Singh serving in the Gurdwara Sahib of village Taimra of Uttar Pradesh was reportedly thrashed by the Harijan community for asking them to stop misusing drinkable water. It is learned that the Harijan community was misusing this drinkable water in routine.
In a video message, the victim Granthi Singh has revealed that the Harijan community of Taima village was misusing drinkable water in routine due to which he requested them not to do so. “On June 26, I again noticed them misusing drinkable water due to which I decided to stop water supply,” he informed.
He further informed that the Harijan community quarreling him when he stopped the water supply and launched an attack on him and his wife. “They removed my turban besides thrashing me brutally,” he added.
