Bid to displace Sikh farmers from UP: Captain to approach Amit Shah and Yogi

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Taking notice of UP government’s bid to displace more than 30,000 Sikh farmers by snatching their hard-earned land, the Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh has announced to take up this issue with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath.

It is pertinent to note here that the BJP led UP government is in action to snatch hard-earned arable land from the Sikh farmers who have been living in the state for the last three generations. Large police parties are being sent to displace these Sikh farmers from about 17 villages of districts Rampur, Bijnaur and Lakhimpur.
