CHANDIGARH, Punjab—On May 30, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee provided financial help worth INR 2,00,000 to the Punjab’s first female boxer Simarjit Kaur, who has qualified Olympics. SGPC member Gurcharan Singh Grewal handed over the check of financial aid to Simarjit Kaur by personally visiting her house in village Chakar (Jagraon).
Simarjit Kaur thanked the apex Sikh body SGPC as well as its member Gurcharan Singh Grewal for providing her financial aid.
