Isolated for the last 18 days, Hazoor Sahib pilgrims begin hunger strike in Ludhiana

:dateline:Around 15 Sikh pilgrims returned from Takht Sri Hazoor Sahib, who were isolated in the Civil Hospital of Ludhiana after declaring them positive for coronavirus, have begun hunger strike seeking their immediate discharge.

It is noteworthy here that around 40 pilgrims were isolated in the Civil Hospital of Ludhiana out of which 25 pilgrims have been discharged yesterday.

A woman pilgrim Kamaljeet Kaur informed that she has already completed 14 day quarantine period, but the administration is not discharging him. �I was admitted in hospital April 30 and now it�s May 17 but the administration is not disclosing our test reports,� she added.

She said that half of her family members are at the hospital while the rest are at home after they tested negative. �Our whole life has been upended,� she added.

On the condition of anonymity, another pilgrim informed that the hospital authorities were not cooperating with the pilgrims.�
