:dateline:All the 162 Hazoor Sahib pilgrims belonging to Tarn Taran district, who were isolated after declaring them coronavirus positive last month, have been discharged by the administration. In this way, the tally of coronavirus patients in Tarn Taran district has dropped to zero.
Sharing the development with media, Deputy Commissioner Pardeep Kumar Sabharwal informed that 19 Hazoor Sahib pilgrims have been discharged from Guru Nanak Super Specialty Hospital today. All the 162 pilgrims have been sent back to their homes and there is no other case of coronavirus in Tarn Taran district now, he added.
It may be recalled here that an intense vilification campaign was run against Hazoor Sahib pilgrims after declaring them coronavirus positive on their arrival in Punjab last month. Interestingly, none of these pilgrims were having any symptom of coronavirus.
At the same time, all the 452 Haryana based Hazoor Sahib pilgrims were found negative on their arrival in Haryana.
The mainstream Indian media, which was using derogatory words like ‘corona bombs’ for Hazoor Sahib pilgrims, has now adopted an ordinary tone when all the Hazoor Sahib pilgrims are getting discharged.
