:dateline:Observing no response from the Punjab government about the discrimination with Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa before and after his death, the National Commission for Schedule Castes has asked the Punjab government to submit its report within three days.
Former SAD legislator Inder Iqbal Singh Atwal has informed that if the Punjab government doesn�t submit its report within three days then the NCSC will issue summon to it.
On the complaint of Inder Iqbal Singh Atwal, NCSC�s chairman Prof. Ram Shankar Katheria had earlier issued notices to the Chief Secretary and DGP of Punjab they didn�t pay any attention towards it.
It is pertinent to note here that when the Verka residents had refused to allow cremation of Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa�s mortal remains, a group of people had claimed that the Verka residents didn�t allow Khalsa�s cremation because he belonged to schedule caste. However, there is no evidence in the back of this claim but still the NCSC has taken this issue under consideration.
