:dateline:The Congress led Punjab government is facing extreme criticism for its poor arrangements to tackle Covid-19 pandemic. The poor testing frequency and delay in disclosing the test results has left the entire state in chaos.
SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal has accused the Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh of not disclosing exact figures of Covid-19 patients by keeping the testing frequency low and holding the reports pending. �The Punjab government is not using its all the funds being given by the Centre,� he added.
He has also dared Captain Amarinder Singh to go on ground zero rather than just making orders and observations while sitting in his farm house.
Recently, several videos and news have surfaced over social media which exposes the poor work style in tackling Covid-19 patients.
In Jalandhar, a Covid-19 suspect was found positive but the authorities asked him that he was negative and can back to home. In the late evening hours, the authorities called him back by saying that he was positive.
A video of a coronavirus patient has also gone viral over social media in which he is refusing to board on the Ambulance while exposing its poor condition. �
Besides it, the pilgrims returning from Takht Sri Hazoor Sahib are also facing a lot of problems due to unavailability of basic amenities in most of the isolation venues. The pilgrims are being accommodated at congested places due to which the chances of infection spread rise.�
The Punjab government is also facing criticism for the higher mortality rate than the other states of India. In Punjab, the mortality rate is around 5%, which is quite keen higher than its neighboring state Haryana where it is said 1%.
