FEROZEPUR: Isolated pilgrims complain of unavailability of basic amenities

:dateline:A video of Ferozepur based pilgrims returned from Takht Sri Hazoor Sahib has surfaced over social media in which they could be seen complaining of unavailability of basic amenities at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Technical College where they have been asked to live in isolation.

I have to change diaper of my two year old baby, but there is no water availability. We are being forced to live in clusters, said a woman pilgrim while questioning what does Punjab government means by isolation.

An old aged lady said that none of them faced any symptom of Covid-19 while staying at Hazoor Sahib for near about 40 days, but here most of us are being reported positive for coronavirus.

Another pilgrim said that none of them have any physical problem, but now the administration has made them prone to several other diseases by arranging their stay at an unhygienic place. We couldnt even take bath due to unavailability water and unhygienic condition of the bathrooms, he said.

Our little children are even unable to take sleep due to poor conditions of the living area given to them, he further said.

All of them have demanded that they should be moved to a hygienic place where they can easily complete their isolation period.

They complained that they approached the SDM but he didnt listen to them.
