PICTORIAL: Delhi police’s visit to Bangla Sahib to extend a vote of thanks

NEW DELHI, India—The Delhi police today paid a visit to Gurdwara Sri Bangla Sahib for expressing thankfulness for the support being offered by Sikhs in battling against Covid-19 pandemic. Notably, the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee is consistently providing food for more than 1,00,000 people every day in Delhi.

Headed by DCP Eish Singhal, the cops blew the  siren while doing full parikarma (circling around the Gurdwara premises) of Gurdwara Sri Bangla Sahib.

“This gestures comes as a token of appreciation for the Sikhs who have been distributing Langar to the masses and accommodating the Health Care Workers by DSGMC in various Gurdwaras amid the Covid 19 lockdown. Sikhs feel humbled with this goodwill gesture,” wrote DSGMC president Manjinder Singh Sirsa from Facebook wall.

Police should offer public apology besides for abuse of power against Sikhs in past, present, and promise to not take law in their own limited policing duties power, but only as self defense, otherwise, treat Sikhs with dignity ji🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
