Driver Manjit Singh dies of heart attack while going to bring back pilgrims stuck at Hazoor Sahib

:dateline:On April 26, Pepsu Road Transport Corporation�s driver Manjit Singh passed away due to heart attack in village Ratlam of Madhya Pradesh. He was driving one of the 32 PRTC buses sent by Punjab government to bring back the pilgrims stuck at Takht Sri Hazoor Sahib.

35 year old driver Manjit Singh was native of village Badbar in Sangrur district.

PRTC Chairman KK Sharma has confirmed Manjit Singh’s death in a video. He has said that the driver Manjit Singh suffered a heart attack near Indore. Expressing condolences with the family, he said the state government and PRTC will do the best possible for his family.

Meanwhile, United Akali Dal leader Gurdeep Singh Bathinda has sought financial relief worth INR 5 million and a government job for the family of Manjit Singh.
