:dateline:On the directions of Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh, the PEPSU Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) chief K.K. Sharma today sent 32 buses bring back the pilgrims stranding at Takht Sri Hazoor Sahib. These buses departed from the Patialas bus stand today during morning hours.
On the other hand, it has been learnt that around 180 pilgrims were sent back in 11 tempo travelers by the Nanded based Kaar Sewa sect head Baba Narinder Singh and Baba Balwinder Singh. These tempo travelers departed from Punjab at 10 pm yesterday. All the arrangements for providing food to these pilgrims have also been made.
It may be recalled here that these pilgrims had stuck at Takht Sri Hazoor Sahib due to imposition of countrywide lockdown in the wake of coronavirus outbreak. The Punjab government as well as SGPC made efforts to ensure return of these pilgrims repeatedly during the last 30 days, but the Indian government didn’t pay attention towards it.
The Indian government has given permission to bring back these pilgrims after one month of lockdown.
