AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—The apex Sikh body Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee has refuted the fake messages being circulated over social media about providing Ventilators and PPE kits by SGPC. The SGPC has termed this kind of false preachment as misleading.
In a press note shared with Sikh24, SGPC’s spokesperson Kulwinder Singh Ramdas has said that the SGPC has not given any such official statement. “We keep on sending the updates about SGPC’s activities to the media, but some non-serious people are planting rumors about the apex Sikh body by misusing social media,” he added.
Kulwinder Singh Ramdas further said that the SGPC is supporting government in every possible manner amid Covid-19 outbreak. “The SGPC has hundreds of beds and 10 ventilators in Sri Guru Ram Dass Hospital, which have been kept reserved for Covid-19 patients,” he remarked.
