:dateline:The Akal Takht�s Panj Piares have endorsed the call given by Jathedar Jagtar Singh Hawara asking Sikhs to celebrate Vaisakhi by reciting Chaupai Sahib and hoisting Sikh flags this year. Notably, the Sarbat Khalsa appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Jagtar Singh Hawara had given this special direction in the wake of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Bhai Satnam Singh Jhajjian and Bhai Tarlok Singh, two among the sacked Panj Piares of Sri Akal Takht Jathedar, said that the Sikh masses should keep social distancing amid prevailing pandemic of coronavirus.
They have also appealed the Sikh masses to recite Gurbani on Vaisakhi and pray for the high morale of Sikh community besides seeking the well-being of humanity.
It may be recalled here that the SGPC dismissed the Panj, namely, Bhai Satnam Singh Khanda, Bhai Major Singh, Bhai Satnam Singh, Bhai Tarlok Singh and Bhai Mangal Singh, from their services, in January-2016 after they had ordered the removal of the SGPC appointed Takht Jathedars for granting an unasked pardon to the Sirsa cult chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim, in September 2015.
