DSGMC offers Guru Harkrishan Hospital for treating and isolating Covid-19 patients

NEW DELHI, India—The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee has offered its 50 bedded Guru Harkrishan Hospital for treating and isolating the Covid-19 patients to the Delhi government. Beside it, the DSGMC has also offered its 6 storey unfurnished building of Guru Harkrishan Institute of Medical Science and Research, which is situated in Sunlight colony and has a capacity for 500 beds.

In a letter written to the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, DSGMC president Manjinder Singh Sirsa has said that the Delhi government can save its resources by using the building of Guru Harkrishan Institute of Medical Science and Research.

“…spending huge funds in converting hotels and banquet halls into health facility will be merely a short term gain with wastage of resources that too during the pandemic,” Sirsa wrote in the letter while appealing the Delhi government to invest on furnishing the 500 bedded hospital which will ultimately benefit the Delhi people in the long run.
