:dateline:Amid ongoing coronavirus outbreak globally, the Sarbat Khalsa appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Jagtar Singh Hawara has directed the Sikh community to recite Chaupai Sahib and pray for the high morale of Sikh community on the eve of the Vaisakhi this year.
He has also directed the Sikhs to hoist Kesri flags on the top of their houses and seek a safe exit of humanity from this pandemic.
In a message released through Prof. Baljinder Singh Morjand, Jathedar Jagtar Singh Hawara has said that the sacred day of Khalsa Sajna Diwas aka Vaisakhi recalls the independent and dignified existence of Sikhs.
It is noteworthy here that Jathedar Jagtar Singh Hawara is currently languishing in the Tihar Jail of India�s national capital New Delhi. He was elected to head the highest Sikh institution Sri Akal Takht Sahib by the Sarbat Khalsa on November 10, 2015.

After the failure of Bargari Morcha. Rest of Jathedars elected by Sarbat Khalsa lost confidence of Sikh Sangat. Bhai Hawara should have taken personal responsibility and resigned or sought mandate again. If parallel Jathedars sought to bring change they failed in that purpose. Disbanding SGPC would be a foolish decision especially at this time of Crisis of Coronavirus. SGPC and Delhi Gurudwara Parbandak committe have offered their rooms for quarantine centers and use by doctors treating Covid-19 patients. Not to mention Langar for thousands of people every day.
It is also the first time when Delegation from Iran showed interest in establishing chair on Guru Nanak Sahib. They had meaningful discussion at Akal Thakat Sahib. Jathedar Harpreet Sikh directed Sikh Sangat to protect Kashmiri Sikh women after Pulwama attacks. He stood with Muslim community at Time of CAA protests. The memorandum was submitted by Muslim organizations seeking support from Akal Thakat Sahib was submitted at Secretariat few weeks ago. The Akal Thakat responded in Affirmative. He is outspoken on Sikh issues as well.

The nishan sahib should go back to original blue, not with khanda also. It could start a movement of all those who want to get rid of these golak chors can unite behind this.
Spare the Panth more confusion. The present Jathedar Akal Thakat Sahib has provided guidance to Sikhs on critical issues. He is scholar and gentleman who knows how to read the pulse of Panth as well as engage with other communities and society. Bhai Hawara and his supporters in India and abroad should accept and work under directions of Jathedar Harpreet Singh.
Present jathedar does what basal says, no more, no less. He is no scholar and definitely not a gentlemen. Otherwise he would disband this rag tag chor sgpc committee entirely.
