First Sanitizing Gate Comes Up at Nankana Sahib

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Amid ongoing coronavirus outbreak, a sanitizing gate has been installed in Gurdwara Janam Asthan Nankana Sahib which sprays sanitizer on the devotees passing across it. The Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has depicted a proactive and preemptive approach by installing this gate.

Raja Mansoor Ahmad, the Deputy Commissioner of Nankana Sahib, inaugurated this gate on April 6.

Sharing the development with media, Babar Jalandhari informed that this gate sanitizes the people by spraying sanitizer on them. “The PSGPC has also established a quarantine center at the newly constructed rest house in Gurdwara Sri Tanbu Sahib premises in which 640 patients can be quarantined at a time,” he said while adding that this gate is a first of its kind in Pakistan.

Surjit Singh Kanwal, the general secretary of the Sikh Council of Pakistan, and Giani Balwant Singh were also present on this occasion.
