Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa’s Assistant Ragi Shifted to Escort Hospital After Being Tested Positive for COVID-19

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Bhai Darshan Singh, the assistant ragi of Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa, was shifted to Escort Hospital on April 6. Bhai Darshan Singh was earlier being treated in the isolation ward of Guru Nanak Dev Hospital. Apart from this, four family members of Bhai Darshan Singh have also been sent to Escort Hospital as they are facing COVID-19 symptoms.

Notably, Bhai Darshan Singh is suffering from coronavirus and he had expressed dissatisfaction from the treatment in Guru Nanak Dev Hospital.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Prabhdeep Kaur Johal and Medical Superintendent Raman Sharma told Sikh24 that Bhai Darshan Singh and his family members had requested to shift him to the Escort Hospital. 

It should be noted that a separate ward has been prepared in Escort Hospital for the coronavirus patients, and along with Bhai Darshan Singh, a few other patients have also shifted there.

An audio recording of Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa went viral, in which he stated that the hospital staff at Guru Nanak Dev Hospital did not treat him well. The audio call is between Bhai Khalsa and his son.

Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa’s daughter is also undergoing treatment.
