:dateline:On April 2, the mortal remains of former Hazoori Raagi Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa were cremated at 07:15 pm in a land situated on Verka-Fatehgarh Shukarchakk road. The police and district administration had made tight security arrangements on this place. �
It is noteworthy here that the Verka villagers didn’t allow the administration to cremate Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa’s mortal remains in village crematorium. A Congress affiliated Municipal Councillor named Harpal Verka is learnt have instigated villagers by misguiding them and forcing the crematorium authorities to lock doors.�
Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa had passed away during the wee hours of April 2 after being found positive for coronavirus on April 1.�
