Help Pakistani Hindu and Muslim pilgrims stuck at Sri Harmandir Sahib

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—The SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal has written a letter to the Pakistani High Commission in India seeking attention towards the scores of Pakistani pilgrims stuck at Guru Ram Dass Sarai (Rest House) of Sri Harmandir Sahib. He has asked the Pakistani High Commission to help these pilgrims so that they can return back to their homes.

It is noteworthy here that scores of Hindu and Muslim pilgrims of Pakistan were accommodated by the SGPC on being requested by the administration. All these pilgrims hail from the Sindh state of Pakistan and they are being provided the facility of residence as well as food free of cost.

The Indian government had sealed its national borders on March 15 due to which the Pakistan pilgrims got stuck in India.

On April 2, the administration also took samples of eight Hindu pilgrims, who belong to a same family, to test them for coronavirus.

Meanwhile, it has come to fore that the Muslim pilgrims have shifted to a local Mosque without informing anyone but the police have denied it.
