Will make efforts to relocate Afghan Sikhs to a safer place, says Giani Harpreet Singh

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—The SGPC appointed acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Harpreet Singh has said that he will make efforts to relocate Sikh families of Afghanistan to a safer place by consulting the Afghan Sikh leaders, living in America, England, India and other countries after the lifting of lockdown due to coronavirus.

Giani Harpreet Singh said that a solid policy will be made to protect and maintain the historic Gurdwaras in Afghanistan.  He further said that he will also contact the UNO through the heads of foreign Sikh institutes and Gurdwara Parbandhak Committees, if needed.

He further said that the massacre of Afghan Sikhs carried out by evil elements has hurt not only Sikhs but whole humanity.

“I will also consider sending a delegation of the International Sikh Intellectuals to Afghanistan after the lifting of lockdown in India,” he added.
