Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa seeks triple increment for medical staff

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Senior Akali leader and Rajya Sabha member Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa has appealed to the Punjab Government to secure the families of doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, print and electronic media staff, Punjab Police, IRB and PAP, who are working and fighting face to face with the corona virus, by making health insurance mandatory for them and for their families.

He has said that the doctors, nurses and paramedical staff treating patients infected with coronavirus in hospitals should be appreciated with triple increments.

He further said that the Punjab government should ensure the health insurance of the people fighting against the coronavirus on a priority basis.

He has also welcomed Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh’s decision to impose curfew in Punjab.
