OIC condemns attack on Gurdwara Sahib in Kabul

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has strongly condemned the brutal suicide attack carried out at Islamic State Gurdwara Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib situated in Shor Bazar of Kabul. Notably, more than two dozen Sikhs have lost lives in this attack while several others are seriously injured.

Extending condolences to the victim families, OIC Secretary General Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen has wished for speedy recovery of the injured Sikhs.

He has also asserted the OIC’s support to the Afghan government and its efforts to combat terrorism and violent extremism, stressing the OIC’s principled position, which strongly condemns terrorism and violent extremism in all its forms and manifestations.
