600 pilgrims stuck at Takht Sri Patna Sahib due to countrywide lockdown

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Latest media reports reveal that around 600 Sikh pilgrims have gotten stuck at Takht Sri Patna Sahib in Bihar due to the countrywide lockdown announced by the Indian PM Narendra Modi. A majority of these pilgrims hail from Punjab while some others are from Haryana.

On being contacted by Sikh24, the SGPC appointed Jathedar of Takht Sri Patna Sahib Giani Ranjit Singh informed that all these pilgrims are being looked after by Sant Baba Gurwinder Singh at Gurdwara Baal Leela Sahib as well as by Superintendent Daljit Singh and Baba Rajan Singh at Takht Sri Harmandir Sahib (Patna).

Avtar Singh Hit, who heads the management committee of Takht Sri Patna Sahib, informed that the charges of residence facility have been excused and complete arrangements for the food and health care of these pilgrims have also been made.
