:dateline:As per the decision taken by the state government, the world famous Virasat-e-Khalsa, which comes under the Cultural and Tourism Department of Punjab, has been closed for the tourists till further orders because coronavirus has been announced an epidemic in the country.
So, tourists visiting to Virasat-e-Khalsa are requested to get information about the opening of the Virasat-E-Khalsa before making program to visit here so that they do not face any problem. This information was shared by the spokesperson of Virasat-e-Khalsa.
It is pertinent to note that Kartarpur Sahib Corridor also has been closed on a temporary basis due to the outbreak of Corona Virus till further orders.
It is noteworthy here that the acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib, Singh Sahib Giani Harpreet Singh had opposed to the closure of Kartarpur Sahib Corridor earlier, but now he has given consent to close this corridor on a temporary basis. While talking to reporters, Singh Sahib Giani Harpreet Singh said that Corona Virus has been declared an epidemic in the country and due to this Indian government has also closed the Attari border.
He said that it is the right decision of the Government of India to temporarily close the Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib Corridor because of health safety of the sangat.
He has appealed to the sangat to say “Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh” instead of shaking hands.
